The Bridgend Centre holds fundraising events throughout the year. These events help bring the community together for a good cause. We welcome ideas for fundraising so if you are able to offer your help please contact us.

 The Bridgend Centre Events 2010

Car Wash at Bollington Recreation Ground £2,50 per car. Refreshments available in the Pavillion. - Car wash resumes on 7th July and every 2nd week afterwards.

Walks

Bollington Walking Festival will take place from 15th - 31st October and programmes will be available mid July.

Cost for all Bridgend walks is £2.00 per person. Refreshments are included after the walk.

Please make sure you have suitable footwear, clothing and a drink for the walks.

Easy Walks  - These are operated in conjunction with Age Concern. They are circular walks leaving Bridgend Centre at 10.30am and are approx.2 miles in length.

Dates -  Wednesdays 26th May, 23rd June,28th July, 25th August, 22nd September, 27th October, 24th November and 22nd December

Moderate Walks - These walks are led by Macclesfield Rangers. They are about three miles in length and take approximately two hours. All start and finish at Bridgend Centre and begin at 10.30am.

Dates - Wednesdays 19th May,16th June,21st July, 18th August, 15th September, 20th October, 17th November and 15th December

Longer Walks - Led by staff from the Bridgend Centre. They are between 5 and 6 miles in length, cover some hilly terrain and take approximately two and a half hours. All start and finish at Bridgend Centre and begin at 10.00am.

2nd June  - Spuley Lane, Harrop Wood, Lima Clough and Ingersley Vale

 9th June  - Oakenbank, Rainowlow and Waulkmill Wood

7th July  - Canal, Styperson, Long Lane, down steps to Shrigley Road

14th July - Canal, Tinker's Clough, Dumbah Hollow and Butley Town

4th August - White Nancy, Rainow and Waulkmill Wood

11th August - Albert Road, Holehouse Lane and Middlewood Way

1st September - Adlington, Brookledge Wood, Whiteley Green and Canal

8th September - Ribbon of History Revisited

6th October  - Ingersley Vale, Rainow and Oakenbank

13th October - Packhorse Bridge, Bakestonedale and Pott Shrigley

3rd November - Styperson Pool, Canal, Windmill Pub and Middlewood Way

10th November - Water and Steam via Adlington

1st December - Christmas Ramble Part 1 - Along Kerridge Ridge

8th December - Christmas Ramble Part 2 - Up the Nab

9th June - Oakenbank, Rainow and the Harrop Valley
