The Bridgend Centre holds fundraising events throughout the year. These events help bring the community together for a good cause. We welcome ideas for fundraising so if you are able to offer your help please contact us.

Please note that the Long Walk scheduled for 6th January 2010 has been cancelled due to weather conditions.

Car Wash at Bollington Recreation Ground £2,50 per car. Refreshments available in the Pavillion.  See Home Page for dates.

Guided, Graded Walks

Cost for all walks is £2.00 per person. Refreshments are included after the walk.

Please make sure you have suitable footwear, clothing and a drink for the walks.

Easy Walks  - These are operated in conjunction with Age Concern. They are circular walks leaving Bridgend Centre at 10.30am and are approx.2 miles in length.

Dates -  Wednesdays 27th January, 24th February, 24th March, 28th April, 26th May and 23rd June

Moderate Walks - These walks are led by Macclesfield Rangers. They are about three miles in length and take approximately two hours. All start and finish at Bridgend Centre and begin at 10.30am.

Dates - Wednesdays 20th January, 17th February, 17th March, 21st April, 19th May and 16th June

Longer Walks - Led by staff from the Bridgend Centre. They are between 5 and 6 miles in length, cover some hilly terrain and take approximately two and a half hours. All start and finish at Bridgend Centre and begin at 10.00am.

Dates - 13th January - Butley Town, Middlewood Way, Tinker's Clough and Canal

3rd February -  Quarrying on White Nancy

10th Febraury - The 'Bee Happy' Trail

3rd March - Shrigley Road to Mines, Bricks and Bakestones

10th March - Following the River Dean

7th April - Across the fields to Higher Hurdsfield

5th May - Bluebells in Harrop Wood

12th May - White Nancy, Rally Road and Fields to Hollin Hall

2nd June - Canal, Styperson, Long Lane, down steps to Shrigley Road

9th June - Oakenbank, Rainow and the Harrop Valley
